The Biomedical Applications Group (GAB) is a multidisciplinary group with the aim to provide clinicians with advanced tools, based on micro and nano-technologies, to tackle the medical challenges of the future. Over the years, the group has built extensive experience in biomonitoring of organs, live tissues, and cellular cultures using different sensing strategies and advanced electronic materials. This has enabled the group to establish leadership in two key areas of biomedical research:
– Advanced electronic materials for neurophysiology
– Integration of sensing devices with microfluidic structures for biomonitoring
